Arnout Smedts has extensive experience in international economics and history, having studied the subjects at three leading European Univeristies. He is specifically interested in international financial networks leading up to the ancient regime, and the determining role bankers played in the Atlantic Revolutions. Subsequently, he is also interested in how these insights can be applied in the present. Lastly, he feels at home on the international stage both socially and liguistically.
