Fellow

Bachelor of Arts (BA)

Queen Mary University of London

Elsie Mahamou is a 2025 Politics and International Relations graduate. She intends to use this strong fondation to evolve in the field of security and peace. Based in London, her research draws heavily on her Beninese, Guadeloupean, and French origins, and the historical ties between these three territories. For instance, her final-year dissertation focused on the impact of European colonization on indigenous religions in West Africa, using Beninese Vodun as a case study. Beyond academia, she has a passionate interest in cinema, documentaries, and writing, an ambition that she hopes will one day enable her to become a screenwriter and produce content portraying forgotten historical events, and hidden narratives.
