Conclusion

Dear reader,

As this second edition of the EPIS Report on Artificial Intelligence & Cybersecurity comes to an end, it has become increasingly obvious that a profound transformation is taking place in how power is being exercised and structured in the international system. The articles in this report showcase that digital technologies have become instrumental in shaping geopolitical dynamics, economic relations, and global governance.

As young researchers and professionals, we are more than passive observers of this transformation; we are part of the generation that will navigate and shape it. It is our responsibility to critically engage with and analyze these developments, and to contribute to informed and inclusive policy debates, both immediate and long-term, to provide the best possible solutions for responsible, human-centered governance models.

We hope that this report has contributed to a deeper understanding of the evolving relationship between AI, cybersecurity, and global power structures. More importantly, we hope it serves as a starting point for continued discussion on how to govern these technologies strategically and responsibly.
